It is when you know you could die happy that you know you are doing things right.

Regaining Lost Aspects: Mind and Soul
Through book events, poetry, and creativity, we dive a little deeper into humanity.

It is when you know you could die happy that you know you are doing things right.

The rapier struck
Not in stone
But in bone
Through my caged heart
The one that had only beat for you
Words as sharp as needles
Became Excalibur in my chest
A deceit you can’t even pull out
A fable to find anyone that will do
And even if fables were real
And the rapier is pulled
There is still that hole
That is there as my heart beats

Unglued we break
and form distant love
with connections lost to the abyss

Yes. I know despair. But I know true love and protection, too.

In summer heat
We sip watermelon juice
Tasting lingering ambience
Clinging to you
Sun rays shine
On your glistening skin
You serenade to me
Your deep thoughts and whims

My charity for you
Is to learn the business of me
See what I can do
Take what eyes can see
Let me show you something
That’ll give humanity its toll
If I could teach you one thing
It’s to never give up hope

Can you walk me through persuasion?
Convince me to sit upon the crown?
Tell me this world needs me
or it will surely drown.
Can you run me through some coaxing?
Give me the confidence I need?
Tell me all about this laughter
that will make entire worlds agree.

Put me up on a pedestal
And see, I’m not profound
Watch me make mistakes
And let everybody down
I am only human
Myself is the best I can be
I do not belong on a pedestal
Just let me be me

Sing me a lullaby
And help me pull through
Can’t be touched by anyone
Unless it’s you
Need you for safety
Remind me, don’t lie
That you’ll be there forever
You’ll help me get by

Give me an excuse to laugh,
Even though life is falling apart.
Without you here to hold my hand,
My heart’s twisting and growing tart
Mirrors turn away from me.
Eyes dim for everyone I see.
Without you here with me,
I’m lost and forever will bleed.
Now I sit as the villain in the story.
With all doors shut, people glance away.
You’re no longer my prince charming
After you left and refused to stay.
But what makes me the monster
after you turned my heart to gold?
You ripped the value from me
And whispered I’m wrecked. Now disposed.
Was I never worthy of you?
Or did you like to watch me bleed?
I gave everything to love you.
Forever a tainted memory.
