A Moment, A Second, A Minute

A pause

That’s what I need

But time won’t let me have it

A moment

Is what I starve for

With just me and you

A second

Is what I beg for

To get lost in the emotions

A minute

That’s what I plead for

To forget losing you

Blaze all Your Dreams

Lost

Broken

In darkness all night

But in darkness there’s power

True strength will rise

You’ll burn like a Phoenix

Soar and blaze all your dreams

You’ll empower your hour

And reach all your means

Broken Lullaby

The weight of your goodbye lingers. Like gravity it shoves me down into a worthless hole feeling like I may never rise again. Crude, raw, and deafening your words were spoken. A broken lullaby to curse me for life.

If I had You

If I had you

I could consult you for a dream

You could teach me lessons

Make my whole self me

We could discuss my shaky future

And make all my goals come true

We could work together

If only I had you

Inscape of My Poetry

Will the inscape of my poetry

Foreshadow my doom

Will it lay the groundwork for me

Intentions in a cradled moon

Or is it visions of my trauma

My past that lit fire after night

The things that built me lonely

Past and Future surely blight

Predator Eyes

What drew you to me?

Was it my innocence?

Did it radiate to you?

Could you tell I was a victim,

Because I didn’t have a clue?

Couldn’t avoid you

or notice your predator eyes.

Couldn’t deny you

or sift through what I didn’t know were lies.

I let you have me

and take me

to the worst parts of you.

I let you use me

and break me

because I didn’t have a clue.
